autrepeau was developed out of our need for the ultimate innerwear. We (co-founders Amy Kistler and Anna Roop) toiled for years in the financial world, constantly uncomfortable thanks to stiff suits, itchy sweaters, prickly co-workers, and generally miserable work environments!  And we were sick of spending our hard-earned cash on frequent dry-cleaning bills.

We set out to create a product that would make our lives (and those of our fellow stressed-out female professionals) more comfortable, and save everyone a little money in the meantime.  We envisioned a second skin that would provide a nice lightweight buffer between us and our itchy garments – a skin that would protect us from the blood, sweat, tears, etc. that often ensued from daily corporate battles.  After all, we were saving the world with our financial analyses.  We could simply wash that sweat right down the sink at night, forget the constant dry cleaning, and save our money for more important things, like career counselors…

Finally, one day, we decided to pack in our stresses and take the entrepreneurial route.  autrepeau was our destiny! We relentlessly searched for the perfect fabric that would not add any bulk under clothes, because we certainly didn't want to add any lbs. to our appearance...once found, we perfected the fit of our tops – making them form-fitting and long in length, so they won't pop out of low-rise pants.  We created adorable pink packaging so that our line makes a great gift (even to yourself).

We welcome your comments and suggestions...please write to us (see the Contact Us page). We are always interested in your feedback and ideas.

Trust us, once you try autrepeau, you’ll never put anything else next to your skin.
